  • To provide access to new sources of funding IN ADDITION to the funding that normally comes in from NIH and NSF not “instead of”.
  • To assist government relations staffs in particular areas outside their normal points of contact.
  • To facilitate the building of more and stronger industry relationships with no additional effort by the universities.
  • To have, by reason of proximity, the opportunities to participate in major projects and consortia first and foremost.
  • To increase their tech transfer and licensing output at no cost.
